Oral Health Quick Tips
Toothbrushes & Flossing
We recommend electric toothbrushes with built-in 2-minute timers and daily use of a water flosser—especially for patients with braces, implants, or bridges.
Smoking & Implants
Yes. Smoking can significantly increase the risk of complications with dental implants, including infection, impaired healing, and bone loss around the implant. We strongly recommend discussing your smoking habits with us before undergoing implant treatment.
GLP-1 / Weight Loss Medications
These medications can cause dry mouth, which increases the risk of sores, decay, and bad breath. Stay hydrated and schedule regular checkups.
Mouth Ulcers
Apply Orajel 3–4 times daily, avoid spicy foods, and rinse with warm salt water. Call or text us if it persists.
Teeth Sensitivity
Apply Sensodyne toothpaste to the affected tooth, spit out excess saliva, do not rinse your mouth for at least 30 minutes for it to work, apply 3 – 4 times daily for few days.
